How we work
Our chief purpose is to provide expert primary or secondary opinions to any patient with atrial fibrillation. Patients can make appointments by contacting us directly (self-referral) or after an initial contact from a primary care provider (PCP), cardiologist, or another electrophysiologist. Be aware that some insurance companies may require that the initial consultation be arranged by the patients' PCP.
Please contact our Atrial Fibrillation (AFib) Clinic at the following number: (910) 341-3346.
If you reach our voice mail, someone will contact you within 24 hours (8 to 5 pm, Monday through Friday).
Patients most appropriate for consultation in our AFib Clinic include:
- Those with newly diagnosed atrial fibrillation
- Those diagnosed with atrial fibrillation (paroxysmal, persistent, or chronic) with concerns about any potentially related symptoms
- Those diagnosed with atrial fibrillation who need antiarrhythmic medication management or follow-up
- Those diagnosed with atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter who need help with treatment options to prevent thromboembolism (e.g. strokes or TIAs)
